Playmates has regained the Star Trek license and is introducing more detailed figures, an upgraded and complete bridge deck and transporter playsets.
JD Design has introduced a line of nice size action figure diorama backgrounds that can be used to display a wide variety of existing brands. See page 39 for complete details.
Mattel is relaunching Ghostbusters figures as an internet exclusive line sold only on the company’s website. Reportedly, all four main characters and ghosts from the film will be made. If it goes as well as Mattel hopes, the line could show up at retail sometime in the future.
Enterbay has acquired the toy license for 24. Jack Bauer and President David Palmer will be the first two figures made and the sculpts are incredible. Deserving of an AFD Hot Pick both from an artistic and collectible standpoint.
Mattel’s Captain Power line is the featured vintage line this month in keeping with AFD’s regular value update series. This was the first major line to be interactive and there hasn’t been any major value appreciation, the line still commands the attention of many collectors.
